Learn more about our flexible heaters and how they adapt to a variety of applications, from automobile interiors to small containers to specialty medical devices.
Ultra-Thin Flexible Heaters
Ultra-thin flexible heaters provide superior heating performance in compact assemblies compared to conventional heaters. At less than 0.22 mm thick and 0.04 g/cm2 in weight, this powerful heating solution is available in 1.5 to 600V AC/DC power and can operate continuously in temperatures from -240 to 310 °C (-400 to 590 °F). Manufacturers can apply them in:
- Electrical appliances
- Industrial equipment
- Automotive assemblies
- Electronics
- Medical devices
The polyimide film heating element is built to provide rapid uniform heat, overheating protection, and electrical hazard resistance. Ultra-thin flexible heaters are available in over 5,000 cUL® recognized models in rectangular, circular, and customized shapes. They can also be specified based on the application’s size, wattage, and voltage needs. Each product provides EMF-free performance and comes with adhesive and thermostat options.
Polyester (PET) Heaters
Polyester, or PET, heaters are flexible heating pads that can deliver fast, efficient heating and cooling cycles over their long lifespans. They're flexible enough to be wound and bent into different shapes without negatively impacting their performance. Their chemical-resistant and waterproof properties make flexible PET heaters ideal for a wide range of applications, including:
- Wearable medical devices
- Warming healthcare patients
- Fluid heating
- Defrosting and de-icing automotive applications
- Controlled heating for curing and processing food
These heaters offer an operational range of -25 to 120 °C (-13 to 248 °F) and can be customized to suit a wide range of assemblies.
Silicone Rubber Heaters
Our silicone rubber heaters consist of super conductive heating alloy sheets between high-temperature silicone rubber cloths for insulation. Silicone rubber heaters offer long product lifespans, overheating protection, and uniform, rapid heating capabilities. They can operate in a wide temperature range of -200 to 300 °C (-328 to 572 °F). Silicone rubber heaters are resistant to the following environmental hazards:
- Acids and other chemicals
- Electrical hazards
- Mechanical stress
- Oils
- Water
Built for harsh environments, their durability means fewer replacements and costly operational downtime or repairs. They offer extremely precise temperature control for patient warming and diagnostic tools, cooking and curing in food processing, and de-icing, cabin heating, and engine preheating in cars.
Mica Heaters
Mica heaters are very thermally efficient while offering rapid, even heating and overheating protection. This efficiency can lead to significant savings in electrical costs without affecting the quality of heating in your products or processing systems.
Mica heating elements are composed of mica sheets, natural minerals resistant to chemical and moisture damage. They operate over a wide temperature range: -200 to 1000 °C (-328 to 1832 °F). We provide mica heating elements in a wide range of custom options, each with easy installation.
Transparent Film Heaters
Transparent film heaters offer a unique advantage: they stay transparent whether cool or heated, with a transparency factor 85% higher than glass. This means they can be applied in visible areas, such as directly on display screens, architectural glass panels, and car windows, all without inhibiting visibility.
Our transparent heaters are built from a layer of thin, flexible film. Each one is resistant to moisture, temperature, and ultraviolet light. It rapidly generates uniform heat, is easy to install in different applications, and works in temperature ranges of -25 to 120 °C (-13 to 248 °F).
Fabric Heaters
Fabric heaters are lightweight, portable, flexible, and can withstand repeated washing, bending, and exposure to the elements. They can be integrated into fabrics, textiles, clothing, and other flexible materials, providing rapid, uniform heating. Because they are moisture- and chemical-resistant, manufacturers can add them to a wide range of products in these industries:
- Automotive interiors
- Clothing
- Medical devices
- Outdoor equipment
